What is the VegMap?
The VegMap is the map of all members who currently have fruit and vegetables to
trade. If you click on each pin on the map you can see what is for offer.
By clicking on the member names, you can find contact details and possibly pictures
and descriptions of their produce.
How do I change the centre of the VegMap?
The centre of the VegMap is initially set to just near London, England. You
can change this by setting your location through "My Location" on the side bar.
Type in your address and search for your location.
Note that whilst this will change the centre of the VegMap to your location, it
will not add a pin onto the map. To add a pin onto the map you need to have
vegetables that are currently available to other members.
I have vegetables to offer, how do I add my pin to the
map?
To add your pin to the map, you need to:
- Go to "My Location" on the side
bar and enter where you are based
- Go to "My Vegetables" on the side
bar and enter the vegetables you currently have to offer. Here you can set
the dates that the vegetables are available between.
If todays date is in between the start
and end date you have set the vegetable available for, then
your pin will appear on the map with that vegetable shown as being available.
How do I add pictures of my produce?
By going to "My Pictures" on the side bar you can upload
pictures and a description of your produce. When users click on your pin and
user name on the VegMap, they will be able to the pictures you have uploaded.
How do I make contact with vegetable
traders?
Members can make contact with vegetable traders by
going to the VegMap and clicking on each pin, then clicking on the traders name.
A new page will open with details of what the trader has to offer, along with their
email address.
